About The Position

A Bloomingdale’s Asset Protection Visual Security Officer provides a visible, welcoming presence at the customer entrance to help deter theft and support a positive shopping experience. The role helps maintain a safe environment for customers and colleagues by greeting and assisting customers, visually monitoring store traffic, and communicating suspicious activity to Asset Protection or Security. Bloomingdale’s provides an Asset Protection training program to equip officers with the knowledge and tools to perform the job and grow in responsibility. Officers are expected to maintain a high degree of professionalism.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to occasionally reach above eye level, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities
