Requirements

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard License
  • Understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation
  • Experience with CCTV, surveillance tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Approachable, confident, and respectful with exceptional communication skills
  • A high level of trustworthiness, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Actively prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations by maintaining a visible and professional presence in-store.
  • Safely and lawfully detain offenders, following all company and legal procedures.
  • Conduct detailed internal and external investigations, gather and analyze evidence, and work closely with law enforcement when required.
  • Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and implement effective prevention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations.
