About The Position

As an Asset Protection Detective at Macy’s, you help protect company assets, reduce shortage, and support a safe, customer-focused shopping environment. You use surveillance, investigative tools, and partnerships with store teams and law enforcement to identify and respond to theft, recover merchandise, and help protect customers, colleagues, and the business. The role involves observing and investigating suspicious activity, responding to incidents, and using de-escalation tools and sound judgment to help maintain a safe and welcoming store. You may also facilitate first aid for customers and colleagues when needed. Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching and frequent lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds may be required. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week.
