Asset Protection Coordinator

CVS Health•Boston, MA

About The Position

The Asset Protection Coordinator (APC) improves the retail customer experience and mitigates company losses from external theft at assigned stores. The role requires strong customer service skills and experience implementing loss-prevention and operational strategies. It reports directly to the District Asset Protection Leader and works closely with store leadership and specialized divisions within the Asset Protection Department. The APC monitors store activity and gathers information about theft and operational vulnerabilities. This is a high-visibility, customer-service-focused theft-prevention role, not a covert shoplifter-apprehension position. APCs wear a specialized CVS store uniform as a theft deterrent and do not perform operational duties such as unloading deliveries or operating a POS terminal. Responsibilities are allocated approximately as follows: 60% customer service to prevent theft and reduce friction from product protection by unlocking and securing devices as needed; 30% external-theft reporting and review of potential links among habitual offenders in the Auror system, with proactive intelligence sharing; and 10% monitoring compliance with asset-protection programs, addressing vulnerabilities within the role's scope, and reporting findings.
