Requirements

  • A degree in engineering, a diploma in a technical trade, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in asset management, facility planning, or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting asset management programs, condition assessments, or capital planning activities.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles, lifecycle planning, and ISO 55000 standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and produce accurate, high‑quality reports and documentation.
  • Technical understanding of building systems and utilities (architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical).
  • Familiarity with applicable building codes, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams.
  • Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom.

Nice To Haves

  • Membership or certification in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Asset Management Certification) is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to roles involving engineering, facilities operations, finance, strategic planning, or project management is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with asset management repositories, condition assessment tools, or capital planning software.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the execution and ongoing improvement of the Asset Management Program.
  • Applying International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 55000–based asset management principles across diverse asset groupings.
  • Developing asset management tools, metrics, procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Ensuring asset decisions comply with corporate property and asset management policies.
  • Leading and supporting the development of Asset Management Plans.
  • Coordinating and initiating asset condition assessments in a timely manner.
  • Analyzing condition assessment results, risks, and lifecycle data.
  • Updating risk registers using probability and risk‑based methodologies.
  • Developing asset investment strategies and levels of service standards.
  • Preparing asset management plans, technical reports, and performance metrics.
  • Interpreting civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documentation.
  • Communicating asset information to peers, management, and executive stakeholders.
  • Supporting and coordinating training for assessors and contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
