About The Position
The Asset Maintenance Tech III services, maintains, and repairs rental equipment, handling complex repairs, inventory management, advanced diagnostics, and troubleshooting. The role also supports quality assurance, accurate documentation, work-order management, equipment movement, and the development of junior technicians. The position is based in Baytown, Texas, and is full time, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule. Salary is $25.00–$27.00 per hour, with overtime offered. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring adherence to company safety protocols and standards; employment is subject to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, or a related field.
- Proven experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift certification within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and standards.
- Submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities
- Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on rental equipment and ensure units are rental-ready.
- Lead inventory control, including cycle counts and necessary adjustments.
- Inspect equipment for quality assurance and ensure check sheets are accurately documented.
- Manage work orders and record parts, labor, and related items.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Operate a forklift as needed to move equipment and supplies.
- Mentor and train junior technicians on maintenance and safety procedures.
- Occasionally deliver or pick up equipment from customer locations.
- Deliver and/or pick up berms from customers.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
