About The Position

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is hiring an experienced Assembly and Integration Technician in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role builds production and prototype electronic assemblies, including chassis, racks, servers, Signal Conditioning Boards (SCBs), and Input/Output (I/O) panels. It also supports Customer Service through Return Material Authorization (RMA) assembly and repair work. The technician performs soldering and rework, assembles and labels wires and wire harnesses according to cable specifications, and assists with moving materials from Inventory or suppliers to the production area.

Requirements

• Experience soldering wires and/or printed circuit boards.
• Experience assembling chassis, including use of torque tools and Loctite.
• Ability to work with small parts (0402) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus or track of material.
• Experience building cable harnesses and routing wires.

Nice To Haves

• IPC solder certification.
• Lead-free solder experience.
• Knowledge of test equipment such as DMMs.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Track record of working in a team environment.
• Experience with engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and using MES in an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Build production and prototype electronic assemblies, including chassis, racks, servers, SCBs, and I/O panels.
• Complete RMA assembly and repair work to support Customer Service.
• Solder and rework previously assembled products as required, including extensive rework when necessary.
• Assemble and label wires and wire harnesses according to cable specifications.
• Assist with material handling from Inventory or suppliers to the production area.
• Work on multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus and tracking materials.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area and lab notebooks.
• Work with Engineering and others in a positive, proactive manner.
