About The Position
The entry-level Assembly position in Ruhrpumpen’s Fire Pumps division is a foundational manufacturing role designed to train, develop, and prepare employees for promotion into an experienced Pump Assembler. The role focuses on basic mechanical assembly, material preparation, equipment operation, and hands-on skill building under close supervision. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and eager to learn advanced pump assembly skills through structured on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools in manufacturing, automotive, maintenance, or similar environments is preferred.
- Ability to learn and follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Willingness to train on forklifts, cranes, rigging, and precision measurement tools.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Desire to grow into more advanced assembly roles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and manual assembly work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with industrial machinery, noise, and fluids.
