About The Position

Ampco Pumps manufactures centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications. The Assembler produces and assembles centrifugal pumps in accordance with ISO procedures and specific instructions. The role involves preparing and selecting parts, assembling pumps to customer requirements, verifying bills of materials, and helping ensure products are completed on time.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand assembly prints, measuring instruments, and other manufacturing instructions.
Familiarity with portable hand tools and machine tools, such as impact tools, torque wrenches, and calipers.
Good oral and written communication skills for interacting with employees.
Good work ethic and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to bend and turn, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand at a workbench for the majority of the day without rest.
Close vision and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

Assembly experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Read and follow assembly prints, routers, specifications, and other instructions to build and assemble parts and pumps accurately and on time.
Operate overhead cranes and pallet jacks to move and assemble products.
Prepare parts for assembly.
Pick and assemble parts and pumps to meet customer requirements.
Review and verify bills of materials to maintain inventory integrity.
Assist other departments to ensure products are completed on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
