About The Position

This opportunity is for SPX Technologies' Electric Heat business, a leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling all heater unit product codes and fabricating necessary components as required per work order, blueprint, and engineering specification. Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training

Nice To Haves

• Certified in the following ASME brazing procedures, BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
