About The Position

Johnson Controls is seeking an Assembler to join their team. This role involves building high-quality air conditioning units in a fast-paced, safety-first manufacturing environment. The position offers opportunities for skill development, career growth, and advancement. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling components and finished products using hand and power tools, following blueprints and work instructions to meet quality and production standards. This is a hands-on role for problem solvers who enjoy working with tools and being part of a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving hands and arms
  • Ability to work in a noisy and industrial setting
  • Ability to work overtime as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
  • Military experience or technical training in the armed forces is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and finished products using hand and power tools
  • Follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
  • Identify and report defects or production issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S)
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Use basic computer systems to track production and inventory
  • Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE
  • Support overtime and production demands as needed
