About The Position
Peak Workforce Solutions (NEWBOLD SERVICES) is currently hiring for Assemblers in Manning, SC. This role involves operating production line machinery and computers, troubleshooting issues, performing change-overs, and ensuring quality control by making adjustments and rejecting non-conforming products. The position requires adherence to standard operating procedures, performing basic preventative maintenance, and maintaining a clean work area. Communication with operators and supervisors, accurate completion of process documents, and providing on-the-job training are also key aspects of the role. The job also includes ordering raw materials, reading a tape measure, promoting teamwork, and performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Able to perform all duties and responsibilities listed safely and wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Able to report to every work day, on time and for the entire shift
- Must have positive attitude and strong work ethics

- Experience working in manufacturing preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate production line machinery and computers
- Troubleshoot production line machinery
- Perform change-overs
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce within specifications. Reject product outside of specification.
- Operate within standard operating procedures.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on production line machinery.
- Communication with Operators and Supervisors
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
- Accurately complete process documents
- Complete daily production reports as necessary.
- Perform back-up for others as required
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Order raw materials and supplies
- Able to read a tape measure
- Promote teamwork and build a culture of continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned
