About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an Assembler Team Lead at its Oakleys Ct site in Richmond, Virginia. The role supports Operations Management in meeting company objectives for on-time delivery of quality products. The Team Lead supports and initiates actions with management to help ensure employees follow company guidelines, including health and safety requirements and productivity standards. The position’s core hours are 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The pay rate is $26.00 per hour plus a $2.00-per-hour shift differential. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible new hires. No relocation benefit is offered, and candidates generally must reside within 50 miles of the Richmond facility; active-duty military candidates are exempt from this geographic limitation. Requirements

High school diploma, equivalent, or GED.
Ability to adhere to company safety requirements.
Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous supervisory experience.
Lean 6S (5S plus Safety) experience.

Responsibilities

Assist operators as needed to improve their ability to meet quality and productivity standards.
Use available reports to monitor production-floor project progress and support on-time delivery to customer expectations.
Provide management with feedback about matters that impede a harmonious, safe, and productive work environment or management objectives.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and presentable.
Demonstrate and support compliance with company guidelines, including safety, attendance, and punctuality.
Maintain Visual Management communications boards.
Conduct periodic 6S audits of various plant operations.
Communicate shift status to Production Management and the opposite-shift lead, as well as Production Supervisors when applicable.
Support continuous improvement in assigned areas.
