Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Assembler II - 1st Shift to join our team in Torrance, CA! The core hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is 22.96 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institution.

1+ years of experience in related manufacturing assembly operations
Ability to read, understand, and follow product specifications, drawings and work orders.
Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to follow process specifications.
Ability to handle components and assemblies.
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown.
Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.

Responsibilities

Perform soldering and assembly abilities to IPC-610 Class 3 & J-Std-001 soldering requirements.
Be responsible for building complex electronic assemblies, terminal boards, printed circuit boards, and heat sinks.
Work from drawing assembly, bill of materials, special model sheet and other input documents.
Cross-train in different production areas as needed.
Be able to use soldering and de-soldering skills to produce products.
Use measuring equipment, test equipment and hand tools as needed (air drivers, screw drivers, wrenches, presses, and other tooling fixtures).
Be required to read and interpret drawings, bill of materials, and blueprints.
Be make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting and other variances within the established guidelines of workmanship standards.
Receive detailed instructions on new assignments and limited instructions on routine work.
Be able to match drawings to bill of materials.
Perform visual and electrical checks.
Be part of the team to maintain and support a safe, clean work environment.
Be part of facilitating ongoing continuous improvement in support of quality, productivity and growth objectives compatibility and safety of electrical systems.
