About The Position

As a Foam Assembler, you will help manufacture custom foam inserts and cushioning solutions that ensure Pelican products deliver exceptional protection and performance. This hands-on role combines fabrication, assembly, machine operation, and quality inspection in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 1–2 years of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or production experience.
Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment and processes.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).

Nice To Haves

Experience working with fabrication equipment, cutting tools, or manufacturing machinery is preferred.
Experience with hot melt gluing applications is preferred.
Experience operating Water Jets, saws, die cutting equipment, or similar manufacturing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Read and follow part drawings, Bills of Materials, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
Layout, assemble, and construct foam sub-components and inserts for both new and repeat customer requirements.
Maximize material utilization while supporting efficient production processes.
Operate fabrication equipment including vertical, horizontal, and profile saws, die cutting presses, glue applicators, and Water Jet equipment.
Select materials and cut foam stock to required dimensions and tolerances.
Access production files through the company network and operate Water Jet equipment to produce precision foam components.
Adjust machine settings and operating parameters based on foam specifications and production requirements.
Inspect foam components and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
Perform gluing and lamination operations to assemble finished foam products.
Identify and communicate equipment, material, or program issues to leadership as needed.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
