About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER HQ MFGSC division is currently seeking an Assembler II- 1st Shift at our Duncan, SC facility! The core hours are 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $20.70 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not consider any applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Only candidates that reside within 50 miles of the Pinckneyville IL facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • A minimum of ONE(1) year of assembly experience.
  • Ability to learn on the job, adapt to the changes and become proficient quickly.
  • Must have a high level of concentration and close attention to detail.
  • Must be responsive to both internal and external customer requests.
  • Must be able to communicate in English either in writing and/or verbally.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Good hand/eye coordination

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Receive verbal and written instructions from the Supervisor and/or Lead
  • Verify incoming inventory per packing list and work order, check material for damages, or non-conformance, resolve discrepancies and store, stage or modify product
  • Print and verify product labels and carton labels
  • Test manually or electronically the component parts or completed assembly for proper orientation and adjust if required
  • Modify and assemble electrical components
  • Utilize a variety of manual and air powered hand tools
  • Perform basic computer data entry
  • Read and follow basic drawings/schematics for proper modification of component parts
  • Maintain quality workmanship
  • Observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts and maintain clean and orderly work area
  • Perform work of equal or lower classification as needed
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned.
