About The Position

The Assembler I assembles level and flow control products by following job specifications and standard work. The role includes identifying nonconforming conditions, collaborating with the Team Lead and/or Supervisor to address issues, and helping identify and reduce workflow waste to improve efficiency. The assembler operates and inspects workstation output, tools, and equipment; tests and calibrates simple assemblies; and performs work to an acceptable quality standard while improving performance. Complex tasks are performed with support from others.

Requirements

0–3 years of assembly experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and write English.
Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows.
Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment, such as a ruler, scale, calipers, and tape measure.
Close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, or climb for extended periods as required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with shipping and receiving operations is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Execute standard work, performing simple tasks efficiently and receiving support from others on complex tasks.
Operate and inspect Value Stream workstation output.
Operate and inspect tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work.
Test and calibrate simple assemblies according to specifications.
Maintain an acceptable degree of quality with limited discrepancies and demonstrate a trend of improvement.
Identify problems in executing standard work and request help resolving them.
Identify and help reduce waste in the workflow.
Collaborate with the Team Lead and/or Supervisor to address nonconforming conditions and other issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
