About The Position

As an Assembler I at Novanta, you will assemble components and sub-assemblies according to established specifications, helping produce precision products for healthcare and advanced manufacturing applications. Working with a collaborative production team, you will follow technical instructions and use hands-on skills to deliver safe, high-quality products on time. Position-specific training will be provided; prior manufacturing or assembly experience is not required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior manufacturing or assembly experience is not required.
Willingness and ability to learn to read work instructions, drawings, specifications, and schematics; position-specific training will be provided.
Basic ability to use or learn to use common hand tools, with consistent attention to detail, quality, and safety.
Action-oriented and collaborative, with clear communication skills, a dependable approach, and willingness to ask questions and learn as part of a team.
Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Assemble components and sub-assemblies by following work instructions, drawings, schematics, and established procedures.
Use common hand tools safely and correctly to complete assigned production work.
Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects, damage, and adherence to quality standards, and promptly communicate concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting team production and delivery goals.
