About The Position

Assembler, Fabricator, and Finisher with experience supporting the assembly and manufacturing of metal cabinet components according to blueprints and production specifications. Familiar with using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials, assemble products, perform finishing tasks, and assist with quality inspections. Knowledge of light welding processes, including TIG welding, weld grinding, and weld finishing, and eager to expand technical skills through hands-on training. Dependable team player with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, quality, and productivity in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
  • May require 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Prior experience with TIG welding, weld grinding, or weld finishing is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of material, methods, tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in poor lighting, heating and ventilation.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions.
  • Ability to work in dirty and noisy areas.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to sketch schematics.
  • Ability to work in tight places.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds).
  • Ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending and stooping.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fabricate, and finish metal cabinet components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and production specifications.
  • Prepare materials for production by deburring edges, removing protective coverings, cutting materials, and staging parts for assembly and welding.
  • Install cabinet components including doors, glass panels, shelving, drawers, hinges, locks, catches, and related hardware.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment to ensure accurate assembly and product quality.
  • Perform finishing operations to achieve high-quality appearance and compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects, damage, and material flaws.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and rework to ensure finished products met quality and customer requirements.
  • Perform light TIG welding operations as required, including grinding and finishing of welds to meet quality and appearance standards; demonstrated the ability to learn and apply welding techniques through on-the-job training.
  • Process work orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper completion of travelers, job numbers, and item documentation.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and production records by logging in and out of jobs and shifts using the E2 manufacturing system.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethics, reliability, and motivation while maintaining productivity and producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain compliance with workplace safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at the end of each shift and throughout daily operations.
  • Collaborated with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and ensure timely project completion.
  • Perform product detailing, cleaning, packing, and palletizing to prepare finished goods for shipment and ensure products meet presentation and packaging standards.
  • Performed additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support operational and production needs.
