About The Position

PALS is seeking an artistic, energetic, positive individual with a genuine desire to support adults with developmental disabilities through art, creativity, and self-expression. The Art Coordinator provides supervision and support to individuals, helps deliver daily services, and contributes to a safe, supportive environment. The position is located at the Mingo Day Program in Mingo Junction, Ohio, and is full-time on the day shift. Salary range: $17.00–$18.00.

Requirements

Successfully pass a DOT physical.
Hold a current Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Pass acceptable criminal background verification.
Demonstrate willingness to provide fun yet responsible supervision and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities.
Demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written skills.
Be able to work with diverse groups and individuals.
Maintain current and annual training requirements.

Nice To Haves

A college degree from an accredited university or equivalent is preferred.
Considerable skill and passion for arts and crafts.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support adults with developmental disabilities, including assistance with money management, personal hygiene, community integration, and skill building.
Maintain a safe environment for the individuals served.
Maintain accurate transportation, billing, and program documentation.
Provide non-medical transportation safely as needed.
Routinely check van functions and maintain the vehicle’s maintenance schedule.
Ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
Attend and contribute to weekly staff and house meetings.
Promote the company’s philosophy, confidentiality, people-first language, empowerment, and fair and reasonable treatment of others.
Maintain confidentiality of HIPAA records and promote individual rights.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
