About The Position

Inter-Con Security Systems is seeking an experienced Armed Security Supervisor to provide professional security services at government-operated facilities throughout Los Angeles County. The role supports a safe and secure environment while interacting with employees, visitors, and members of the public, and calls for sound judgment, professionalism, and strong customer service skills. The position is based in Burbank, California, is full-time, and is listed as a day shift at $27.45 per hour. Inter-Con provides customized security solutions for government and commercial customers. Armed security personnel may support critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues, and personal protective services. The company provides firearms instruction in safe weapons handling and marksmanship, as well as uniform and equipment. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required screening and clearances.

Requirements

Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Possess a current California BSIS Guard Card.
Possess a valid California Driver's License or California Identification Card.
Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Meet all physical requirements necessary to perform security duties.
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Possess current and valid California Firearm Permit, California Firearm Qualification Card, BSIS Firearms Training Certification, Baton Permit and Baton Training Certification, and Pepper Spray Permit.
Have at least one year of paid armed security experience within the last five years, equivalent security training, or relevant military service experience that may satisfy all or part of the experience requirement.
Maintain current CPR Certification (Adult/Child/Infant with AED), First Aid Certification, BSIS Guard Card, and applicable armed security permits and certifications before assignment.
Successfully complete required pre-assignment screening, including a fingerprint-based criminal background investigation, identity verification, professional credential verification, and any additional screening applicable to the assignment.
Provide documentation or complete applicable health requirements, which may include TB screening and verification of MMR, varicella, and hepatitis B vaccination or a signed declination.
