About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in San Antonio, Texas. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. The role requires strong communication skills and sound judgment when responding to security-related concerns. The schedule is Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Applicants must hold an Armed Guard Card or License, be at least 21 years old, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening and participation in industry-specific security training.
Requirements
- An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using a problem-solving approach and following established protocols for a financial institution location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, customer service areas, ATM areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
