Security Officer - Bank Headquarters
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a financial institution location in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, customers, and vendors by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing professional customer service. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, following site-specific procedures, and accurately documenting activities and incidents. The schedule is Monday from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.52 per hour. Employees can use the company’s technology to view and claim additional shifts and have access to paid training and career growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response practices when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, and identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific protocols.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
