About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution in New York, NY, you will help safeguard clients, visitors, personnel, and the facility. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, manage access control activities, and provide customer service and professional communication. The role involves responding to incidents, documenting activity, and following site-specific procedures and policies. Work conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas according to site procedures; document and report unusual activity, policy violations, and security concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and communication protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, business areas, parking locations, and perimeter.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
