About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to support a vital utilities location in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures, conducting armed patrols, responding to incidents, and monitoring access to restricted areas. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.74 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving position.
Texas Level III Armed Certification.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at utility operations locations.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and irregular conditions.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site protocols, and contact emergency services when appropriate.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, or facility concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Maintain required armed post qualifications and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and company policy.
