Security Officer Full Time - Financial Headquarters
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in New York, NY. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provides customer service, and uses sound judgment and technology to document activity. The role supports a professional environment and may include emergency response activities when appropriate. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays $20.95–$21.95 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of banking offices, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and promptly report matters to appropriate personnel.
- Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations to help maintain an orderly, professional environment.
