About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring part-time Armed Security Officers for a wholesale retail store in the South Bronx. Officers serve and safeguard clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and conducting patrols around the business and its perimeter. Workdays may be scheduled Monday through Sunday, and the available shifts are mornings and afternoons. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Must possess a valid armed guard license.
Must possess a valid armed carry permit.
Must be a prior or active law enforcement officer.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only; this role is not stated to be a driving position.
Licensing requirements may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
