As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Abilene, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post requiring a valid driver’s license in state and a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience OR Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role OR Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (4) years armed experience
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access-related concerns, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to site management.
• Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, addressing routine questions, and helping to maintain an orderly environment through visible presence and professional interaction.
