About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, road access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity according to site protocols.
- Prepare accurate reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
