As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Abilene, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience OR Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role OR Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (5) years armed experience
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, entry points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and employee activity for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or potential theft concerns, and report findings according to site protocols.
• Support opening and closing procedures, access control activities, and high-visibility presence throughout the location while maintaining professionalism and attention to security-related concerns.
