As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of military, law enforcement, or corrections officer experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of employment in an armed security role
• Current employment with Allied Universal with a minimum of four (5) years armed experience

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, access concerns, and/or other unusual conditions, then report findings according to site protocols.
• Support loss prevention and after-hours closing procedures by checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and by reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or security-related concerns to site contacts.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
