About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a manufacturing site in Gentilly, Louisiana. The role serves and safeguards clients by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. The position is full-time with a variable schedule, including mandatory 12-hour weekend shifts. Pay is $20.39 per hour, paid weekly.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have at least one year of security experience, and be able to stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in the elements. A clean driving record is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, unless the applicant has five years of verifiable experience. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen, and must participate in industry-specific security and safety training. Applicable licensing may be required before employment. The first interview will be by phone.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old for an armed role.
• Have at least one year of security experience.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to work outdoors in the elements.
• Have a clean driving record with no flags or suspensions.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Nice To Haves

• Law enforcement or military experience is preferred and receives first consideration.
• A current armed license is a plus.
• Experience as an armed guard is a plus.
