About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Midland, Texas, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role is part-time, with shifts scheduled Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. You will work as part of a team that emphasizes putting people first, collaboration, reliability, innovation, and integrity. The position pays $25.00 per hour.

Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. The role also requires participation in industry-specific security training. Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state or local laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, access points, production areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for and report unauthorized activity, hazardous conditions, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and follow applicable laws, post orders, and site requirements for authorized equipment.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
