About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking an Armed Security Officer for its corporate office and distribution center. The officer will help protect people, property, and assets and maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors by enforcing security procedures, controlling access, screening distribution areas, inspecting outgoing materials, patrolling, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate reports. The role also supports investigations and asset recovery with the Security Leadership Team and includes ongoing training in firearms, hazardous materials, public safety, and security operations.

This is a third-shift role scheduled Saturday through Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The starting hourly rate is $20.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior private security experience.
• Valid 20-Hour Private Security Firearms Certificate (O.P.O.T.C.) or ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and protecting others.

Nice To Haves

• Criminal Justice degree.
• Military or law enforcement background.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the facility and distribution center by enforcing security procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Protect company assets through access control, screening of distribution areas, and inspection of outgoing materials, including mail and trash recovery.
• Conduct patrols, monitor activities, respond promptly to incidents, and maintain detailed and accurate reports.
• Support investigations and asset recovery efforts in collaboration with the Security Leadership Team.
• Participate in ongoing training in firearms, hazardous materials, public safety, and security operations.
• Build trust and rapport with employees and visitors by maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
• Perform other assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
