About The Position

Security Engineers, Inc. is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a part-time position in Indiana. The role is approximately 24 hours per week, with alternating end times, and is primarily scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to varying end times, with occasional Saturday shifts starting at 9 a.m. The position is classified as first shift, pays $18.00–$18.50, and requires occasional travel. The officer will conduct walking patrols, monitor facility access, respond to alarms and incidents, and maintain detailed activity and incident logs. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen. Because the role supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations, a criminal background check may be required by law. Paid training is offered at the state minimum wage where allowed by state law.

Requirements

Must pass armed testing.
Valid Indiana License to Carry a Handgun or state equivalent, with current firearms qualification for armed posts.
Valid driver's license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to obtain all required security certifications and licenses.
Ability to remain aware of surrounding activities, stay calm, solve problems, and act effectively in critical situations.
Ability to perform periodic walking patrols throughout facilities.
Satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular walking patrols of assigned areas to identify and report security and safety concerns.
Monitor facility access points and verify the identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Respond quickly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain precise, detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and notable observations.
