About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for a government site. The role serves and safeguards clients by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies, and conducting patrols. Candidates must be at least 21, be U.S. citizens, and have at least two years of prior military, law enforcement, or armed security experience. Pay is $39.80 per hour, plus $5.90 per hour for health and welfare (H&W).

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for an armed role.
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Have at least two years of previous military, law enforcement, or armed security experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
