About The Position
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location in New York, NY, you will help safeguard clients, tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors. You will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, respond to security concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role requires a valid Law Enforcement Officer License and a people-first approach grounded in integrity, teamwork, and reliability. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Applicants must meet the stated age, education, and licensing requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.
Requirements
- Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and coordinate with emergency responders when needed.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and personnel according to site requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
