As a Armed Security Officer - Transit in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government transit location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed security-related officer, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate transit and public service personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, reporting observations and incidents according to site-specific procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including an assigned firearm, in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and client requirements.
