As an Armed Security Officer Transit Driving in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location. You will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to riders, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security Officer, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Provide a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, administrative areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with transit personnel and/or local law enforcement as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations through required channels.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation related to patrols, observations, and response activities.
