As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Intervention in Queens, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional assistance to passengers and staff. You will represent Allied Universal through clear communication, integrity, teamwork, and a caring, reliable approach while helping maintain an orderly environment.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public transit facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate transit personnel and public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, transit yards, buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, suspicious behavior, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
