About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer - Transit Walking Patrol in Boulder, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Provide a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associate Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
  • Maintain a professional presence while monitoring access points, pedestrian traffic, and vehicle activity, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive conduct.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
