As a Armed Security Officer Transit Overnight Driving in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to passengers and staff. This driving position requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding grounds.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate transit personnel and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations through established procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with the public, employees, and law enforcement personnel.
