About The Position

As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Driver in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist riders, staff, and visitors with professionalism. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transit locations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with transit personnel and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
