As an Armed Security Officer supporting a major public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public authorities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, facilities, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, observe passenger and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, client requirements, and applicable laws.
