As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in Trenton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This armed position requires an Armed Guard Card or License.

Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, emergency department areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures for restricted clinical, administrative, and support areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
