About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer Transit Platform in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Possess at least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed security-related professional, or certified law enforcement graduate.
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and security-related incidents through required channels.
Maintain required documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable policies and training.
