About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer - Transit Overnight in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. Requirements

• Have 3+ years of Military Police, Corrections Officer, or armed security-related experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associates Degree/60 College Credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations at transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding property in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, administrative areas, vehicle storage locations, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and interactions accurately, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
