About The Position

The Armed Security Guard provides security services at assigned client sites during scheduled shifts, helping protect personnel, premises, and assets. The schedule, site assignments, and hours may change according to client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. Flexibility is essential, including availability for additional shifts and on-call or emergency coverage. The role includes patrolling the site, monitoring surveillance equipment, following client security protocols, maintaining professional interactions, and accurately documenting and reporting incidents or irregularities.

Requirements

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid firearms license or certification.
• Active PERC and FOID cards.
• Must own a firearm with a Level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work changing shifts and locations, including additional, on-call, or emergency coverage.

• Previous armed security or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at assigned client sites to ensure the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as operational needs require.
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with clients, visitors, and staff, fostering a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular site patrols and monitor surveillance equipment in accordance with client security protocols.
• Document incidents, security breaches, and irregularities accurately and report them promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Silver Star leadership team.
