About The Position

The Armed Security Guard provides security services at assigned client sites during scheduled shifts, protecting personnel, premises, and assets. Schedules, hours, and site assignments may change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, or contract adjustments. Flexibility is essential, including availability for additional shifts and on-call or emergency coverage. The role includes conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, following client security protocols, documenting and reporting incidents, and maintaining professional communication with clients, visitors, and staff. Additional duties may be assigned by Silver Star leadership.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active OPOTA certification.
Own a firearm and a Level 2 retention holster or higher.
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Previous armed security or related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide security services at assigned client sites to protect personnel, premises, and assets.
Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedules and locations may change based on operational needs.
Maintain professionalism in interactions with clients, visitors, and staff.
Conduct regular site patrols and monitor surveillance equipment in accordance with client security protocols.
Document incidents, security breaches, and irregularities accurately and report them promptly to appropriate personnel.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Silver Star leadership team.
Work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage, when needed.
