About The Position

The Security Guard provides security services at assigned client sites during scheduled shifts, helping ensure the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets. Schedules, site assignments, and hours may change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, or contract adjustments. Flexibility is essential, including availability for additional shifts, on-call coverage, and emergency coverage as needed. Guards conduct patrols, monitor surveillance equipment, follow client security protocols, document and report incidents, and maintain professional interactions with clients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active OPOTA certification.
Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Previous armed security or related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide security services at assigned client sites to help protect personnel, premises, and assets.
Be available to work various shifts and at different client sites as operational needs require.
Maintain professional interactions and communication with clients, visitors, and staff.
Conduct regular site patrols and monitor surveillance equipment in accordance with client security protocols.
Accurately document incidents, security breaches, or irregularities and promptly report them to appropriate personnel.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Silver Star leadership team.
Work scheduled shifts and provide additional, on-call, or emergency coverage when needed.
